Earlyworks Museum Complex Reviews
I have been before 9 years ago but went this weekend for a childrens birthday party. It was very fun for all my children ages 6 months, 6 and 10. The 10 year old really liked all the interactive thing... more »
We brought my 3 and 6 year old children here while on vacation. They enjoyed most of it, but some things were a little above their age level. I really like the variety and layout of their displays. Th... more »
The kids had fun, but overall it is a bit strange and the strangeness is kind of hard to describe. It seems like a regular museum, which has a few random daycare-like areas integrated in. I wish it integrated more experiential science exhibits, rather than having so much space allocated to dry topics, with oddly integrated kid-oriented aspects. If you have been to science museums in bigger cities you might be disappointed, but the kids will likely have fun since there are a couple areas with toys and play areas.
Great hands on facility with something for kids of nearly any age. They have a room for toddlers and kids that are active where there is a fort like treehouse structure built into a wall as well as a moving water bin where they can fish for magnetic fish and see toy boats move. Deceptively large building and lots of walking space. The big trees talk, though my toddler son was not a fan and seemed frightened of them. Decent size auditorium where they show cartoons. Content covers Alabama history from the 1800s to present. Nice place to bring the kids. $5 for toddlers up to 3. No time limit. They seem to have a partnership with paw patrol as far as characters and merchandising. They also have someone dressed as a character to meet the kids. Located downtown so metered parking is your best bet.If you have a educator ID your discount lets you in for free!
