  Love visiting this place. It is very educating on the civil war. Cheat mountain is a beautiful place and would recommend a visit to anyone coming to West Virginia wanting a peaceful experience.  more »

  This was a relaxing, leisurely trip along the Cheat River to the top of the mountain. The fall colors were awesome and we enjoyed a buffet lunch on the train.  more »

  Interesting bit of history, trail could use some work. Pretty muddy in a couple of places.

  A hidden treasure! At 4000', one of the most scenic Civil War sites I have visited. Be careful driving up, the gravel road had a lot of ruts when I went up.
