Lake Sammamish State Park is a park at the south end of Lake Sammamish, in King County, Washington, United States. The park is administered by the Washington State Park System. The park covers an area of 512acres and has 6858ft of waterfront and is known for its boating and watersport activities, such as waterskiing. The park has about 250 parking stalls for vehicle/trailer combinations. Issaquah Creek enters Lake Sammamish in the park.
The State Park is accessible from Interstate 90 at exit 15 and the north end of State Route 900. Local access uses East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE and NW Sammamish Road, both are separate alignments of former State Route 901. Public transit (bus) riders can access the Park via Metro Transit's routes 200, 216, 217, and 927.
The state park is the center of a controversy over the ecological benefits of beavers.
Lake Sammamish State Park includes numerous day-use facilities allowing a wide range of recreational uses. The park's facilities are grouped in three areas. The area west of Issaquah Creek includes picnic tables and shelters, two swimming beaches (Tibbetts Beach and Sunset Beach), restrooms, an RV sanitary dump, and athletic fields. Parking is available in many lots. Athletic fields include two softball fields, seven full-size soccer fields, and four youth-size (smaller) soccer fields. Separate parking is provided near each group of soccer fields. An entrance on NW Sammamish Road provides access to this area. • Beautiful trails, which are quite easy and flat. There are playgrounds, beaches, and plenty of parking and space.

  • Super beautiful beach and the water is amazing!! It starts out as sand but turns to gravel with big blocks mixed as you get to and in the water. So if you have sensitive feet, I highly recommend making sure that you bring water shoes or waterproof sandals. Everything is super clean and people are all very nice and don't mess with others stuff. You can bring your own food and drinks and have a full on picnic which is also great. One of the few downsides though is that there is really no place to wash off the sand or rinse off yourself, at least not one that is easily identifiable to visitors.
  • This park is awesome! It had one of the coolest playgrounds I've ever seen. The bathrooms are clean. The lake is beautiful and even has a swimming beach for you and the kids to enjoy. No dogs on the beach though. You can walk a trail or sit and just enjoy the view. Great park.
