Original First Baptist Church, Jackson

Visited this fantastic church yesterday with my granddaughter, Abigail Martin. Abigail's family (Heather & Leland Martin) are members there. This church is truly blessed by God & radiates the Holy Spirit. It exemplifies the Great Commission to "Go ye therefore & teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit...." I was so impressed with their contribution to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering, as well as the goal set for the Annie Armstrong offering. Certainly this exemplifies their dedication to national & international missions. The music program & the director are beyond great! There just aren't words.....So many talented musicians & singers all using their talents to glorify Him! Must mention the organist & orchestra, in addition to the 300+ choir. Finally, the new pastor seems to be a "perfect fit" for this great church! Blessings to you all from a visitor from the beautiful Smoky Mts. of East Tennessee! Sylvia Cook

Very large, Baptist church. The people are generally friendly and hospitable. The music is beyond anything you've experienced before. The sermons are usually nice.
