Laurance Rockefeller Preserve, Jackson Hole

Laurance Rockefeller Preserve offers 13 km (eight mi) of trails through ecologically significant parkland as part of Grand Teton National Park. Follow paths that lead you through dry meadows of sagebrush and past forests of spruce, pine, cottonwoods, and aspen, then through wetlands. Explore the shores of Lake Phelps, where you can watch for migratory birds.  At the visitor center, you can view exhibits about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as information about Laurence S. Rockefeller, who donated the land that forms the park. The center also offers videos, photographs, and soundscapes of the preserve, as well as a room where you can relax by the fireplace.
