Lavender Fields Forever, Jacksonville

The sound of joy was easily heard by the bees. The descriptive signs are awesome. The barn is a gorgeous backdrop. Thinking about our next visit already.

Went 7/6. Nice new owners since Feb 2019. Cheri is there to talk to. Lavender season is mid June - mid Aug. They have 7 varieties of plants including white & pink lavender [ who knew ? ] They are only open fri - sun & close @ 4 p. This is true for most of the local fields. Go inside to see all the things she sells. She makes most everything & also sells lavender lemonade, lavender brownies, lavender shortbread & lavender gelato. Of course I had to buy the lemonade, brownies, short bread & sachet. You can buy plants, hand pick bunches [ $6 ] & make a sachet [ $ 3 ]. Sometimes you may see them distill the lavender. If they are not, ask & they'll tell you how it's done. Go, I know you'll have fun !!
