  • I did the 3 hour history tour and it was great! Got to learn a lot about the penitentiary and see various parts of it.

  • Pretty cool place to visit!! You can’t really beat viewing a piece of history with your own eyes. My only tiff was that we didn’t really have a tour guide. There was a guide, but he wasn’t really giving us many facts or information. The free range style of letting people explore on their own makes the experience very leisurely and relaxed. Perfect for quiet moments where you might actually experience something paranormal. When we sat in the gas chamber chairs is when our ghost alarm went wild.
  • If you like history, this is your place. Two hours of it. For me, I think more than an hour is pushing it, I like the go at your own pace places. But they are thorough and they are trying to give the public their admission price worth of information. I was told they get their funding from ticket sales only. Personally, I passed on the gas chamber visit and thankfully it was at the end of the tour. I don't need to see something that caused death in such a horrible manner. I also did not go to the museum. If I had planned to stay in the area longer, I would have.
