Jekyll Island Golf Club, Jekyll Island

Very nice course to play with different challenges on each hole. Little bit of uneven play on greens from front to back, but nothing too extreme, probably due to early start and them drying out over the round. The first five holes hit pretty hard so be ready. Most courses of this level usually have a great finish and we were all a little underwhelmed with 18 especially after you see some of the other holes. Definitely a course with playing (Oleander) but had a few things that kept it from a five star.

Not sure why the bad reviews. We played a great round on Oleander this Sunday. The staff, at the Pro Shop, Teabuzi's and on the course were all very friendly and helpful. Loved the GPS on the carts. Course was in very good shape just a couple spots in the fairway with weeds and a couple bare patches, but what we expected in the summer in the south. Pace of play was perfect and we, a twosome, got around in under 4 hours. Greens are very small, but held well and rolled true. Saw a bunch of deer. We'll definitely be back.
