  • We stopped at the headframe which is the largest and oldest wooden mine headframe remaining in AZ. Worth the stop to look and read the signs, good history. Amazing to think how deep the mine is.  more »
  • It’s really amazing how far down the mine is. They have cool history pieces to see. It probably only takes about 30 to see and read everything. There is picnic tables there if you want to have lunch.  more »
  • We learned so much. This was worth the stop if you drive through Jerome. We found this by accident and were very glad we did. It was incredible to learn about. So much is preserved. It's was short visit but totally worth it. The main part of the park was closed for paving so we were just able to see the Audrey Shaft. There was more to see but just the part we saw was pretty cool.
  • Such an awesome little park that we just happened to stumble upon. If you want to see some great historical items and learn about the mining history of Jerome, make a stop here! The Audrey shaft goes down 1900 ft - so crazy! It's interesting to look down the down the endless shaft and imagine all of the history.
