The gallery opened in 1988 and is now known as one of the premier destinations in Jerome.

Raku Gallery was named such for the Zen translation of 'raku' meaning ease, enjoyment, contentment, pleasure and happiness. The gallery now represents over 200 artists predominately from the Southwest. Kurt and Lynette Ammann, have lived in the area since 2003 and bring fresh, new energy to the gallery. Originally from South Africa, they have and are still involved in a winery, award winning vinegars, a country inn, and retail.

  • Many beautiful and unique handmade pieces of art to choose from. The young lady behind the counter was very kind and informative. We spent the most time in this shop :)

  • We really liked all of the artwork and wished I had picked out more. I am glad I found their card in my shopping bag. I'm going online to see what I've missed out on.

  • I generally hate shopping but this store has such unique and beautiful products that I’ve been there twice now. What more can I say.
  • Summary: If you are looking to commemorate your tourist trip to this area with a unique decorative piece for your home def stop by here. There is some very interesting history about the Saloon downstairs. While, I suspect the artists might vary from time to time, they price out reasonable for original, handmade art that you want to last long term. There is a range of what you might find in price points. There are also rugs downstairs. My friend is more that type. While she was enjoying herself, I enjoyed the historical display they had downstairs talking about the history of the saloon which is what the place use to be. Super interesting. I had a very good experience with the staff while there.
