It was a fun place to wander around in.Id say go early because the parking lot was almost full when I got there mid day. There is a shuttle though if you have to park in the lower lot. I mined for the gold and gems it was fun and Jay was very knowledgeable about the mine itself. All in all a fun little place to spend some time. And the drive up was beautiful!!

My kids had an absolute incredible time. The atmosphere is so laid back and easy-going. My 3 kids (7,9,11) did gem panning and found arrowheads and sharks teeth among other various pretty gemstones and of course every kid's favorite fool's gold (pyrite). The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful/kind, Milo the greeter cat is purrrrfectly suited for the job too!Truly a welcome little break from our daily routine! Make sure to inquire about the outhouse, this was a great and fitting legend with spooky possibilities! My curious 7 year old wanted to test the legend and was so shocked at what he discovered, this was a moment I will look back at with great joy in the future.
