    We saw a sign for this "exotic zoo" on our way to San Antonio and said, "we should check that out." I can't tell you how happy we were that we did. We had a blast at the zoo. I definitely recommend...  more »

    Absolutely worth a trip to Johnson City. My daughter loved the petting zoo and safari tour, we definitely want to go back and stay in one of the cabins. Way more interactive they we imagined, and super informative. You can tell the animals are well loved.

    Nice weekend getaway from Austin/San Antonio. There are cabin's that can be reserved (minimum two days). There is a pond with catfish, No license required but they charge for fishing. It's free if u stay there. They offer senior/child discounts on tickets. It was a fun trip and the weather really was great(October). Check the temperature before you go it's open land and so can get pretty hot/cold. There are also couple of wine tasting places close by and so it's not going to be just a one stop drive.
