My fiance and I visited yesterday. We did the self guided tour. The buildings are stunning on the outside but once within the enclosed walls you can see all of the vandalism that has occurred here...

My husband and I treated our friends to the guided tour of the prison. We were about 10 mins late due to the draw bridge but the tour guides totally understood and waited for us to get there before starting! That was so awesome of them. They totally didn’t have to do that. The tour itself was so informative and we got to enter buildings that are off limits to the self-guided tour. Definitely worth the $30 a person. I highly recommend this tour and definitely want to do the haunted tour when I come back this fall to visit my husband.
