  • We camped a couple nights. It’s a beautiful lake and area but it was very hot and very humid and we were very disappointed you can’t swim in the lake. (We have no air in our camper) It’s a tease when....  more »
  • Surprised at the lusciousness of the trees and and rolling hills in this Mecca of farmland. The people of Jonesboro have a gem of a park. If I lived here I would spend a lot of time here.  more »

  • I am here for several days with a family member in the hospital and needed some fresh air. Coming from a rural town in South Georgia, this place is SO beautiful and awesome. I did both the inner trail around the lake (gorgeous!) and the paved outer trail (so incredibly maintained!) There were a lot of people out and it seemed to be a safe area. The lake was pretty too. I was also touched by the Mothers of Angels memorial garden and stopped there to think and pray. This is a really nice place for walking, running, biking and rollerblading. There are restrooms throughout the trails and water fountains that also have a place to refill a water bottle. Really well maintained. If I lived here it would be a staple in my life!
  • Beautiful Place always relaxing... my only Problem with Craighead Forest Park is the mosquitos Are vicious and many and numbers after dark. If you're a motorcycle rider it's beautiful during the day. Alas when it reaches dusk have a place to be out the element of mosquitoes. If you don't find shelter be prepared to be carried off not unlike those flying monkeys on wizard of oz.....
