  • The visitor center is very well done and quite informative. The park rangers are very friendly and helpful. There is a very pleasant trail to the glacier that is only a short walk.

  • If you are taking a taxi, beware of a scam the taxis are running. They will charge you ( in addition to the fare) a $5pp charge to enter the park PLUS something like $15pp " drop off" fee to drop you at the visitor center. It actually costs them something like $2.00 to drop someone in the park. Get all the fees agreed to upfront!! Another option if you are a walker, is to get dropped at the entrance to the park and walk the mile to the visitor center. No extra fees at all, although you still need to buy an entrance fee to the park ( $5). I don't know what taxis charge to pick you up in the park, we just walked back to the airport.
  • Nice to see. I thought it would be taller. You could walk around to the waterfall there. The blue color in the glacier is amazing.
