Puna Chocolate Company, Kailua-Kona

Phenomenal Bean to Bar chocolates, grown and handcrafted here on the Big Island. Absolutely delicious range of chocolates and love their store vibe. In addition to all the deliciousness they make, they also sell local artist’s artwork as well as other locally made products. Perfect place to grab lots of little items to take back home and share with friends and family. Seating available upstairs to relax and enjoy your chocolates.

Stopped by the Hilo location for the first time and tried the cacao nectar (produced from slightly fermented cacao fruit pulp) and loved how refreshing it was. I've also never seen this offered at any other chocolate store. Back in Kona, I noticed they had a location here and wanted to stop by to sample the hot cocoa and take a look at the chocolate bars. Unfortunately the cafe was closed pending permit approval, but they had the hot cocoa mix they use in stores, so I picked that up instead. They had samples of some of their chocolates which helped us decide on the flavors we wanted to get! Loved the interior of the shop and the local art & other works to peruse.
