A replica of a 950-year-old Buddhist temple, Byodo-In Temple welcomes visitors from all faiths. The temple serves as a place for worship and meditation. Discover a 3 m (9 ft) statue of Lotus Buddha inside, painted in gold and coated with gold leaf. Visit the Japanese gardens with peacocks, black swans, turtles, and frogs. Pay attention to the three-ton brass bell near the entrance, which is said to purify the mind and bring positive things to those who ring it. On the temple's grounds, you'll discover a reflecting pond, meditation niches, and small waterfalls. If you go inside, remember it is customary to remove your shoes. What an absolutely beautiful place to visit. The peace and serenity is detectable. When you enter the temple you are asked to remove your shoes out of respect. The Buddha statue is very beautiful as is every part of this property. Ringing the bell was an additional part of the visit that I loved. It made me feel relaxed inside. There were a lot of people there but nobody was shoving or pushing, it was quite relaxed atmosphere. Would like to spend more time here.

If you are planning a trip, I highly recommend visiting this place! It is an amazing sight. An amazing educational experience, and overall, amazing shots for photos! Local tourist offer $60-100 per person. If you go alone or rented a vehicle. It's a lot less expensive! 2 adults and 4 kids under 12, ran us about $20! Big, big difference! You will definitely kill and hour or two!
