Embrace your family's creative side at Kaleidoscope, an arts and crafts center for kids. Operated by Hallmark Cards as a way to recycle its paper, ribbon, crayons, and other products, the venue is packed with leftover manufacturing materials from their famous cards. Use the supplies to create collages, puzzles, mobiles, and various other artistic works. The center provides glue, pens, glitter, and much more, so all you need to bring is your ideas. This crafty fun takes place in organized sessions, so make sure to check for times beforehand. Admission is free. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Kaleidoscope by using our Kansas City road trip planning website.

Our family had a great time doing the imaginative creativity for our son had a fun time didn't want to leave the facility at all. The staff customer service is phenomenal job. Also there is restrooms for the family. We are glad to bring home our son art project. You do you need to register at the website the best part it is free. Renovated for all ages learning new activities. There is even a chance to make your own puzzles by making your own artwork and the staff will do the puzzle pieces for you by the machine. Best part for toddler is the never ending magnet all different shapes and sizes. Our toddler is really into magnet of organizing items. Letting your children be there own personality shine.

Really enjoy coming to Kaleidoscope! They are definitely giving kids a great experience with creative arts and crafts, and free of charge at that! As a parent, I did find there to be a little less variety since they remodeled during the pandemic. I heard from the front desk that is more friendly to kids on the spectrum in different ways. I definitely support that. One of favorite stations that my kids enjoyed was the watercolors, on the back corner of the room. They even made hats! When we visited most recently, we were walk ins. I do suggest doing your best to reserve a time slot ahead of time. I would also advise coming earlier in the day. Their last session begins at 2:30p and ends at 3:20p. The front desk is less likely to help you enter as a walk in towards the end of the day but if you arrive before the beginning of a session, you are more likely to grab a spot as long as you have your kiddos with you! I will be coming back again with my wife and kids very soon and I recommend Kaleidoscope to anyone with kids that lives within driving distance of Kansas City, keeping in mind that there are many other things to do and places to visit within Crown Center and downtown KC.
