Kansas City Zoo is renowned nationwide for its rich collections of African and Australian species. Its penguin and polar bear exhibits are also popular. In the Kid Zone, children can learn about the animals, feed some of them, and enjoy the play area and carousel rides. You can buy food from concession stands or bring your own. Animal habitats are large, and getting around the zoo requires a fair amount of walking. Consider catching a ride on a train or a tram to ease the journey. You also may rent strollers, wheelchairs, and electric scooters. Arrange to visit Kansas City Zoo and other attractions in Kansas City using our Kansas City attractions site.

First time at this zoo. It is very nice. Liked how the kangaroos can hop anywhere in their big area, even though you are walking through there, no fence separates you and them. The zoo is very big...

We buy annual passes with rides included. I'm not sure about the cost per ticket. I've always loved the Kansas City Zoo even before the various areas (Africa, Farmland, Australia) were created. It's a big zoo so there's lots of walking. The grounds crew/horticultural department do a fantastic job with the grounds - many beautiful gardens. Facilities have always been clean and most are updated. During the summer season, there are multiple food options. Several opportunities to feed and touch animals. Great, informative signage about the animals on exhibit and several keeper talks throughout the day. There is a great variety of animals to see and learn about. Cool exhibits that mimic natural habitats. It's a wonderful place to visit!

I loved this place so much!! Everything was a little pricey, but I understand it's for the animals! Very reasonable, just shocking prices. If you want to visit, make sure you have enough money in your credit card!! The workers are nice and very conversational if you talk to them. I had a very great time going through the different countries and riding the lift across Africa!! I recommend visiting this place if you like zoos! They have a polar bear~
