Pretty touristy and contrived but we had fun and enjoyed the live music at Kansas City Live. I’ve always enjoyed the Westport area more when visiting KC.

Went to the Elton John show and the lines out the building were awful but that's to be expected. We went through the metal detectors fine but then did not know where we were supposed to show our tickets. So basically anybody could have walked in and tried to get into the concert. They could definitely reach the merchandise table. Finally right before we went up the stairs we found a lady that ask for our tickets. Otherwise our seats were good. There's never a bad seat in the place to sit honestly. I did feel like the drinks were overpriced more than usual. I got a 20 oz bottle of Sprite for $5 and if you wanted a bottle of water it was $5.50. wasn't sure why water cost more than a soda. We had a driver take us down to the concert and then pick us up so no issues with garages or parking. I did hear that there was a huge backup in the parking garages and parking lots. I'm not sure if the T-Mobile center owns the parking lots and parking garages though.
