  • A 6.2-mile trail out and back. It is not bad, but quite boring. I'm not sure what's all the excitement here about. The first 1.5 mi is in a forest, mostly downhill, but some uphill sections too. There was some mud only in the first half mile or so, but far from what you can find on some other trails on the island. Nothing to see except trees. After 1.5 mi, the trail reaches a ridge and continues on top of it. The ridge becomes quite narrow, which sounds exciting, but it's not, because there are trees on both sides of the trail and one can't see much more than trees, fern, and canopy of the trees on the two parallel ridges to the north and south. After about 2.4 mi, the trail leaves the ridge to the left (south) and drops steep down in the forest to the valley between the two ridges, meeting Nualolo Cliff Trail. Still not much to see. Another 1000 ft straight to get to the viewpoint. Finally. Gorgeous views down to cliffs and the ocean. Then a 3 mile climb up. The altimeter on the picture wasn't calibrated, but should give you a good estimate of what elevation drop and gain to expect.
  • Trail was great! First half mile was pretty muddy. The rest was decent. The way back can be a bit difficult for the inexperienced but it's not that bad most of the time. Make sure you go to the end. The view is amazing
