Kelleys Island State Park is a public recreation area occupying one-quarter of Kelleys Island, an island in Lake Erie located 13 miles (21 km) northeast of Port Clinton, Ohio, in the United States. The state park's 677 acres (274 ha) include six miles (9.7 km) of hiking trails, ruins of lime kilns and quarrying operations, sand beach, and campground. The park was established in 1956. The park cooperates with other agencies to manage the adjoining Glacial Grooves State Memorial, a set of rare glacial grooves, North Shore Alvar State Natural Area, a rare alvar habitat, and the North Pond State Nature Preserve, a lake embayment usually separated from the lake by a sand bar.

  • 7/15/21; we ventured out to the state park on a 4 wheeler that a friend had. She took us right to the waters edge and the park was quite busy with people enjoying the day and just camping.

  • I instantly fell in love with this island; the stillness of nature, the vegetation, lake, rocks, views, sunsets, the quaint downtown area, the quarry, ALL OF IT AND MORE. It might be small but there.....  more

  • The park itself is great the restrooms are kept clean. The rangers patrol and provide a feeling of safety and information that hasn't really been present in the last 10 years at other parks. They even rake the entire beach every morning. However, you will be disconnecting and unplugging whether you want to or not. There is NO Verizon signal and very little AT&T signal at the park.
  • We love this Campground! Clean, great views of Lake Erie and nice sites. I’m giving 5 stars but would ask that the grass get mowed before the weekend campers come in.
