  • Our instructor, Craig, gave us an exiting and educational adventure in the Basic 101 course. He is an excellent sailor and a exceptionally good teacher.  more »

  • Just finished my fourth course with South Coast and want to report that Captain Lucy and her staff continue to exceed my high expectations. I took the 101, 103, 104 and 114 (Catamaran) classes. The instructor captains for the classes have all been knowledgeable, considerate and informative while thoroughly preparing me for the test portions. Captain Brandon was amazing on the Catamaran ASA 114 class. I couldn't have learned more, been more impressed and had more fun. Just a real pleasure. I plan on continuing other classes through South Coast and joining Captain Lucy on her famous Flotillas in different parts of our beautiful oceans. - David M. Smith
  • We had a magical afternoon with John and Carol on their beautifully maintained 42' sailboat. It was my husband and two teenage sons first time sailing and the day was perfect. John's credentials speak for themselves, you're in steady, experienced hands but beyond that, he and Carol assure your day exceeds expectation. We hoped against hope to see dolphins and/or whales, knowing how rare that is. We ended up surrounded by a school of whales who played all around the ship. John, stealthily followed them as they played so we enjoyed thirty minutes of whale watching. That was just good luck but John and Carols determination to make the day as special for us as possible was all them! I can't imagine a better way to experience the joy of sailing then a private charter with these two. Highly recommended.
