My daughter brought me back a box of salt water taffy last week. I'm 62 and haven't had it for a good 50 years. I explained to my wife you eat salt water taffy in a group in the dark. A cabin, a tent, a camper, a lake house. Everyone gets a piece and talks about the flavor. It's too gooey to put back or pass around so you eat it and explain the flavor to the group. At least that's how we did it on Cape Cod 50 years ago .. and that's how my wife & I enjoyed our 1st dip into this box. In the dark den at home in front of the big Ole flat panel TV. Chocolate/Strawberry is my favorite, she's still in pursuit of peanut butter.
