The Dinosaur Discovery Museum in Kenosha, Wisconsin, United States, is dedicated to the exploration and explication of the relationship between modern birds and ancient carnivorous biped dinosaurs, the theropods, which include Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, and Archaeopteryx. This link is especially well documented in the fossil record. The museum has the largest skeletal cast collection of theropods (meat-eating) dinosaurs in North America and is the only museum to focus a gallery specifically on the evolution of birds from non-avian dinosaurs, with a second smaller gallery focusing on "Little Clint", a three-year-old Tyrannosaurus uncovered by a dig conducted with the Carthage Institute of Paleontology.Dinosaur Discovery Museum is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.
The museum is located in the former post office (later the home of the Kenosha Public Museum building) and is a part of the Kenosha Public Museums system. The museum is unrelated to the Dinosaur Discovery Center in Maine.

My kids really liked this place. Only takes about 10-15 to walk through but super nice staff and my kids loved it. Dinosaurs and dig area were really neat. more »
Ok, so my teenage daughter and I went here just because I spotted one of the wonderful statues in the front. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was blown away. Yes, they are on the smaller... more »
This place is quite unique! Not very large but they make the most of the space they have. Very interesting history with the building itself as it used to be the post office, it is a very beautiful building! Free admission with a suggested $3 donation, we happily paid as they are a smaller museum I imagine they do not have the financial backing the larger ones in town do. Great place to bring the family!
Definitely worth going to if you are in the area. Our group of three adults and one toddler spent about an hour here, but you could definitely spent a couple hours looking at everything. Suggested donation was $3 which I thought was very reasonable. It's in a very cool old building (guess it used to be the old post office). But it's not much of a museum. Really it's just one big room with dinosaur skeletons.
