Welcome to the MacLeod Family!

Est. 1974

Our family consists of four generations of MacLeods working together to create exceptional wines. We craft our wines with great passion and pride, always striving to provide a unique and enjoyable experience with every bottle that you open.

While most of our grapes are still sold to some of the region's top wineries, our small family wine business continues to grow. Our dream is to produce hand crafted wines that capture the MacLeod Family Vineyard terroir and our Family’s love of farming. Each vintage we produce is unique in flavors and texture that can only be derived from our hillside location. All our wines provide an exceptional bouquet of aromas and flavors that feature our exquisite terrior and our family commitment to quality.

Our award winning wines are highly sought after and produced on a limited scale, therefore selling out fast. We produce roughly 1,200 cases a year; 325 cases of our Gold Medal winning Estate Zinfandel, 500 cases of our most popular and highly acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc, and 386 cases of our famous Sonoma Valley Merlot.

The surefire way to guarantee you get access to our exclusive wines is to become an "Association Wine Member" by joining either as a "Skye Member" or a "St. George Member". With this membership, you receive special VIP benefits including first purchasing rights of our wine(before the general public), special discounts on all purchases, exclusive invites to "Members Only" events at the vineyard, and much more. For more detailed information on becoming a member, visit

Please visit our website and take a closer look at what the MacLeod Family has to offer. You can order wine, sign up to be an "Association Member", or call to schedule a special private tour.

Come join us in celebrating good friends, loving family, and exceptional wines. Once again, welcome to the MacLeod Family - See you in the vineyard! (read less)

  • This winery is a great little gem in Kenwood. It's off the beaten track so it's not over run with van loads of pleasure seekers. This is a winery for true wine lovers! And the wine is top notch!  more »
  • This was our third bi-annual Mothers/Daughters Winery Weekend in Sonoma County and we were looking for hidden gems for this trip. Some of our 8 had never been to CA wine country before and we wanted....  more »
  • This is by far the best wine tasting experience I've ever had. Living in San Francisco, I have visited wineries all over Napa, Sonoma and Russian River. Wine tastings often include going inside a crowded tasting room. At MacLeod's you will get a tour of their vineyard, weather permitting you may sit under an oak tree on the property and if you're lucky you'll meet the one who made his dream come true, George MacLeod. This gorgeous vineyard has incredible views and the people you meet here are just wonderful. Oh and they have award winning wines:) They operate by appointment only so be sure to give them a call to schedule your visit. You will love it!
  • I have been coming to the Sonoma Valley for years. During that time I have taken many, many, wine tours and more wine tastings than I will admit to. Over those many years by far the best and most informative tour and wine tasting experiences I have enjoyed have been found at two locations, one at VJB winery and the other at the MacLeod family vineyard. At MacLeod, while you sit outside around a table talking to the MacLeod family and tasting their excellent wine you will be within feet of the grapes which go into many of their wines. The outdoor setting and view is breathtaking. When you are there be sure to ask George, the patriarch of the family and co-founder, with his wife, of the winer, y to tell about the horse his grandfahter rode during the civil war. To a civil war buff it is awesome to talk to George who is old enough to have spent time with his grandfather and other veterans and heard their war stories. Just an added benefit of a wonderful wine experience. .
