  • This is a spectacular state park. We were here on Monday and Tuesday nights, but it was nice a quiet. Camphosts were awesome also!
  • Excellent wildlife! Very nice cabins that could use a couple of touchups. We rented the cabins here for a family reunion. The futons were uncomfortable, but the rest of each cabin was nicely furnished with good tasting tap water, a fire pit, a picnic table, great water pressure in the showers, etc. The AC units smelled like mildew, so we forewent ours in favor of the ceiling fans and windows, which was warm in August but OK with cool clothing and a sheet. The park has beautiful trails dotted with historical CCC projects and plaques. However, deer ticks about the size of coffee grounds are plentiful and made it through my long socks. Be careful of going through grass no-matter how sparse and be sure to check your legs for new "freckles".
