Silent World Dive Center, Key Largo

If you're staying in Key Largo, or heading down from Miami, the Silent World Dive Center's snorkel excursion is a must! Shelby and Yasmin helped me book our trip (over the phone to save a few $) and were incredibly accommodating. The dive center is right on the water, so it's only a matter of minutes before you exit your vehicle, check in, and get on the boat. We took The Calypso out, which had plenty of room and offered seating with either shaded and full sun areas. Captain Preston was hilarious, full of insight, and most importantly kept us all safe! The equipment was new, comfortable, clean, and easy to use. We snorkeled at two locations within John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park, both offering a completely different feel. Christ of the Abyss was on my bucket list, so I am truly grateful for Captain Preston - it was magnificent! Grecian Rocks was a unique reef that ranged in depth of 3-10'. Beautiful colors in both the reef and fish. Notable finds were a Stingray and a Smooth Trunkfish!

Great unitimidating shallow dive for a low experienced open water diver or perfect relaxing dive for a more experienced diver. Beautiful scenery and colorful fish and coral.. I was a solo diver so I was required to have a master diver accompany me for a little extra cost. So worth it! Violet was confident, which put me at ease, and led me on a fun dive. I will dive with them again when I visit Florida.
