We are made up entirely of trained volunteers who devote their time and talents to helping to get these magnificent birds back into the sky!Add A Place Called Hope to your Killingworth travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Killingworth road trip planning app.
Sometimes release is not an option for a bird who has suffered certain types of injuries that make it impossible for them to survive on their own in the wild.
We hold special permits obtained by the state of Connecticut and by US Fish and Wildlfie Services that allow us to keep and care for these birds provided we share them with the public through Educational Programs.
That is the FUN part! It is not everyday that a person gets to have an up close and personal encounter with a live Bird of Prey! Our Programs offer information on each species of Raptor and a segment on how you can help to protect them in the environment.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which means we are run entirely on donations of time and money. This labor of LOVE fills our hearts with passion for these incredible Raptors! We are honored to work so closely with each and every one of them!

They came and took a red tailed hawk yesterday who was hurt, couldn’t fly and was starving to death…. My wonderful neighbors called them and they came right out. Our prayers are hoping this beautiful bird survives and we know he is in good hands. Thanks to caring people such as these.

This place was awesome. While on the guided tour we got to hear an eagle and a couple owls. Our kids(4 and 11) enjoyed seeing the birds also. The birds are feed mice so you might see them eating while your there
