  Some beautiful structures. It was a great spot for family photos, dog walkers, and history buffs. Each of the docents we encountered were eager to share.  more »

  After traveling to Maryland since the '90s, I was finally able to visit this historic village. You are able to go inside the mill which includes the visitor's center and museum. Check museum hours if....  more »

  In regards to their trails, they are well kept and maintained. A great experience for the family to have a mini hike, have a picnic and graze the river. We were not able to experience much else that they had to offer. We saw the advertisement signs of some of their other events, which all seemed very family oriented. But, unfortunately, we did not partake, so I can't speak on those events. All in all, a great experience.

  Take advantage of the intricate network of trails- it is ideal for Appalachian trail prep - about 100 miles of trails in all! Downside: good, comprehensive maps don’t exist. Information pieced together from multiple sources is your best bet and some maps are better than others.
