  • So many lovely exhibits in this aquarium. However, if you have toddlers, don’t wait for the “otter feeding”. It is preceded by a 20+ minute lecture about otters designed for adults and hard to hear...

  • As reported via reviews by other visitors, the aquarium is small, but it's very nice providing various interactive activities for children. My 3-year-old loved everything especially the jellyfish, stinger rays, albino alligator and more. In my opinion, it's worth a drive to town to see. Wilmington provides other family attractions that children will love, so we had time to see more than one attraction before turning in to our hotel stay. It was a little over 2-hours drive for us. We spent about an hour to 1-1/2 hours at the aquarium, then we visited Battleship North and spent over 2-hours there, then we headed over to the Wilmington Railroad Museum. Our children had a blast, so [Yes] it's worth the drive because I haven't listed all family attractions offered.
  • The aquarium was very nice. It is fairly small. Only took us about 45 minutes to see all of the animals. It was clean and well- kept inside and out. I enjoyed the little walk through the outside "park" areas prior to arriving back to the main exit/entrance. The tickets were not expensive, and I felt the price matched the size and time spent very well.
