Claws 'N' Paws is a private zoo in the heart of Lake Ariel. It's often called "the zoo in the woods" because of it's woodland setting. We are open May until mid-late October.Add Claws 'N' Paws and other attractions to your Lake Ariel trip itinerary using our Lake Ariel day trip site.
Throughout the day there are a number of keeper-lead activities, many of which are designed to give the public a closer interaction with our animals. Lory parrot feedings and turtle town are some of our favorites
This page is run entirely by our keepers. All the photos, updates and stories are from the keepers who work with these animals every day. We love our animals very much and know that many of you care about them too and we cant wait to share their lives with you.
Keep in touch over the winter too. Although you may not be able to come and visit them yourself, we promise to keep you updated and post lots of pictures of all your favorites.
If you have any questions we'd be more than happy to answer them and would love to see all the great pictures you've taken too.
If you have a favorite animal that you'd like to see more of, just let us know and we will do our best.

My sister and I were in the area and looking for something for something to do. We saw billboards for Claws 'N' Paws. I went online and did a little research and, initially, was a little concerned..... more »

Love this place! The habitats are immaculate and the animals are plump and healthy. You can see the handlers really care about the animals health and well being. We have been taking our kids for years and they have recently added new animals and events. Not crowded. A great way to spend a casual day.

The park is small and habits are as well, but the animals are really well taken care of. One of the senior keepers was able to pet the lion as seen in the photos I posted. Gift shop is pretty large which you enter in exit through. Feeding tokens over available in the gift shop for $3 a piece. The tokens are available in the gift shop which you can put on your credit card... But as soon as you get the park it is cash only. The kids had a great time feeding the goats and the giraffe. Definitely worth the money and time will spent!
