We've done this hike many times over the years and it is always a great choice. It isn't too long or too strenuous. We prefer to go from the east side, but both sides end up at the top. The top area..... more

Lots of rock to walk over. It starts easy, gets more difficult with inclines either on top of rocks or tree roots. You are rewarded with a view looking north. There is another view on the other side of the weather station.

Smelled like weed at the top, but other than that it was absolutely beautiful, and I burned like 2000 calories climbing it so that's also a plus
