  • We were told about the view as we didn't golf. Another OMG of views especially coming down the hill. A ride for something to do  more »
  • Excellent food. Only played 9 holes of golf, liked the course, challenging with wide open fairways. Scenery of the Adirondack mountains and lake George...breathtaking
  • Visited Top of the World Golf course on 9/9/19, writing this review a little late but I told the Bartender I would write the review. Every year while visiting the Lake George area I try to play a new course. I saw this on the list of local courses and decided to give it a try. Checked the reviews, which were so so IMO, decided to play it anyway. I am an avid golfer and like to play nice courses, the course distance wise is not a very long course but you need to make detailed shots. Setting up for your 2nd shot is pivotal. The yardage marks seem to be a little off IMO but I wasn't sure if it was the Altitude or not, shots were shorter than they were reading. The views were unbelievable on some holes which made for some nice pics, not as many as I hoped, but it was worth it. Greens were very nice and varied in size, that was challenging for many approach shots. The fairways were so so, many holes you couldn't tell the difference between short rough and the fairway. The course needs to improve that. Tee boxes varied as well, some good and some bad. The staff, which was really the Bartender/Starter/front desk/Waitress in all one, wasn't the friendliest person considering it is a touristy course. Tough to ask any questions to as every answer was a single word. Played 18 and then came in for some food/drink. Food was decent but only had some Apps. Apparently the restaurant fills up but at 7 pm on this Friday the place was a ghost town. Not much of a lively place. I would definitely play the course again as I think it was worth playing. I got my Tee time from Golf Now for $40. Much better than the $65 normal price, which isn't much either, but doesn't coincide with the course quality. I was a little disappointed that I accidentally left my Magnetic yardage finder on the cart, didn't realize it until after my vacation a week later. I called up to see if it was in the lost and found, the person I spoke to said they found one. He went and checked for it and said it was gone. Definitely my fault but that $300 fella didn't last long. Overall good experience of golf though........
