I think this is one of the big attractions of LHC. It’s a nice park with great facilities (boat ramp, restrooms, showers, grills, campground, etc) but the coolest thing about it is the lake itself... more »
We camped here in our RV ... in July (super hot but, we are from Vegas so it was bearable) the campground is total desert, but the spaces are spread out and there are some trees and shade structures and it is paved and level. The lake is super rocky so bring river sandals (again, I'm from Vegas, maybe all lakes are like that and maybe the shoes aren't called that, but you get it. 😉) but the lake was super clear! The beaches are nice and clean as well. And this park has a dog beach so the dogs were able to get into the water as well! We will definitely be coming back ... just maybe not in July. 👍🏻
What A great camping experience. Great showers and restrooms open all the time. If you reserve your space with enough time in advance you'll be able to pick a prime spot.
