The missionaries there were very helpful in answering my questions about the temple, God, and Jesus Christ! Members of the Church who attend the temple also read from the Book of Mormon, which is another book of scripture that testifies of Jesus Christ along with the Bible. I'd say the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, as well as open and helpful. I will definitely visit here again.
Visiting the Portland Oregon Temple is an awesome experience and if you have questions, you should visit the visitors center right next to the Temple. They can show you around and answer all your questions about the Temple and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. It's a wonderful place to be. I feel so much closer to God when I am here. I highly recommend visiting.
