  • A small, simple but pleasant Museum. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, offering suggestion on how to best use the time we had before the museum closed for the day.

  • More of an anticipatory 5-star rating than a current 5-star. I imagine that this museum will be something else when they finish, and I look forward to coming back. In the meantime, you can still see some pretty cool artifacts in the free exhibit they have open until construction is finished later this year.
  • Nice museum. It was our first time there, actually seeing the site of the 1980 (and '32?) Olympics. It had been on our radar for a while, and we'd seen the ski jumps as we drove around the area to hike, but never drove through Lake Placid itself. There's quite a lot to see in the area, and we got there a bit late, so we ran through the museum before walking around downtown and grabbing dinner. Definitely worth a stop in. They have memorabilia as well as exhibits about the designing of the logo, uniform and mascot.
