See how Olympians soar to new heights at Olympic Ski Jump Complex, a year-round training and competition site for many of the country's top athletes. Originally built in 1917, this complex contains the state-of-the-art 90 m (295 ft) and 120 m (393 ft) ski jump towers erected for the 1980 Winter Olympics. Just a short drive from Lake Placid, the complex also features a popular sky deck, offering unobstructed views of the surrounding Adirondack High Peaks. You can watch ski jumpers train and get a bird's-eye view of what they see as they speed down the ramp. Stop by the athletes' preparation room to see how participants warm up before each jump. We had a lovely time -- the view from the big ski jump is quite amazing and we had a fun time watching young kids train (and jump off) from the smaller jump. Quite impressive!

This was so cool. We took skyride to top. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Once you get off you walk to the 120 Meter jump. There's an elevator to take you to the top. Once up in jump you walk out onto a catwalk and you see where Olympians would go down the jump. You have to be crazy to do this I have so much more respect for these skiers. It is amazing the height there actually going down. Def visit here if your in area.

Really cool place! It’s a nice experience to get to see what the athletes experience right before their jumps. The view from up there is stunning and makes great & memorable pictures! The staff on-site were all super friendly & welcoming. Plan about 45 minutes to one hour for the entire visit.
