Heavenly Mountain Resort offers 97 ski runs and 30 lifts with views of Lake Tahoe's deep, blue water and the surrounding mountains. The resort boasts the highest elevation--3,068 m (10,067 ft)--of any of the Tahoe-area resorts. Its 1,900 hectares (4,800 acres) straddle two states. With an average annual snowfall of 910 cm (360 in) and so many runs to choose from, visitors of all ages and abilities can comfortably ski and snowboard. Try Maggie's and Mombo for easier runs, Big Dipper and Skyline Trail for something a little harder, and Ellie's for a breathtaking, difficult run.
