  • The house is a wonderfully maintained artifact of American history. The visitor is seeing the original house. It is not a replica or restoration because the original house was never allowed to fall into disrepair. Our guide, Katy, was extremely knowledgeable and was very forthright about the origins as a slave plantation. It is absolutely worth seeing.
