The Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts is a nonprofit organization that is located in a Historic FEC Train Depot just a few steps from the heart of downtown Lake Worth. Located in Lake Worth’s Arts District, this 14,500 square foot permanent arts center is dedicated to living and working artists as well as to the community. The Center brings art to life, immersing the public in arts production and its creative processes, while providing direct interaction with artists from around the world.
Benzaiten supports the creation of significant new works of art, collaboration between peers across multiple media and instruction from master to emerging artists. The Center has classes for beginners and three main facilities for working artists including:
The Glassworks Studio that is a full service 4,500 square foot glass blowing studio with 2 furnaces and 3 glory holes. Perfect for glass artists who need to rent a full service studio that provides everything they could need including a cold working shop. A flame working studio will be opening in 2016.
A Gallery and Gift Shop that has over 2,000 square feet of gallery space and features unique items for sale including artists’ works who use Benzaiten’s studios to produce their fine glass art.
Opening soon: the Benzaiten Metal Works Studio, opening will provide a metal foundry that can pour 69,000 pounds of bronze per year.

Arts education, support & professional development are key functions for the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. The Center will enrich the lives of many artists and impact visitors by viewing the working artists so they will have a better understanding of the efforts and work that artists expend to create fine art glassworks. We will have many programs and volunteer opportunities that will benefit children and adults including:
Programs for School Aged Children & Adults
Master Workshops for Artists
Special Events for the Public
The Glassworks Studio Classes: Renowned glass artist, Rick Eggert, is the Creative Director of Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. Rick brings years of experience in the world of glass including running his own successful hotshop in Stuart, Florida. The glass studio is under his direction and will accommodate up to 8 artisans at a time. Take a class and experience the excitement of watching your creation come to life!
Studio Rentals for Artists: The Hot Shop includes glass furnaces, glass working “glory holes,” annealers, kilns, “garages,” glass blowing benches and full handling and shop equipment for 4 separate glass blowing stations.
