Amish Country Store, Lamoni

This place is so charming! Stopped on our way home to Kansas City. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we will try it next time. I bought some pickles and jam, both are spectacular! Everyone who works there is pleasant and personable. The young lady at the register was very nice, like talking to an old friend. I highly recommend stopping here if you end up in the neck of the woods. A great place to take the whole family!

Been driving past here for years and never stopped. Decided yesterday was the day. I'm glad I did! The store was filled with treasures and sweets! Oh, and it smells like a tenderloin thanks to the Maid-Rite inside. I didn't try any food, but I'm sure it was delicious. They had everything from furniture to jellies, jams and pillows inside. Also, before you leave make sure to pick up some Iowa travel guides and delicious free coffee. My Grandma just kept talking about how good the coffee was and I agree. This place is worth the short detour off I-35.
