  • You cannot put a price tag on what you see at Dogwood Canyon! It is something that you do not see everyday! We live 5 hours away and would come back in a heartbeat. After doing throughout research about the park we spent easily $300 for the whole day. We did the horseback riding and tram ride (also consider eating and the gift shop). I'm not trying to say $300 is nothing but you have to consider what you are there for and what the park has to do to operate.. They have to have a ton of employees to make this place be as pretty as it is! Word of advise if you plan on doing the tram ride BOOK IT AHEAD!!!! Also, just from talking to staff about the park during the week is less busy if you you a weekday open in your trip! We absolutely enjoyed our day and would come back. Every employee we came across was super super gracious. The only thing I was disappointed in after the fact is that the caves are not open to public anymore and use go be but I totally understand why they are not open to public! Last note the fact that they let your bring your own food, and drinks into the park is really nice and could help with expense too! Also find it really nice that they allow you to bring dogs into there property and not just service dogs.
  • We've been here twice now. The first time we walked the trail. It's approximately 6-7 miles round trip. I didn't go the whole distance but it was a beautiful walk. Well maintained, easy to navigate. It's suitable for all ages and abilities. The second time we took the tram tour. I highly recommend it. Our guide was informative and had a great sense of humor. We saw a newborn Elk that had just arrived! It began to rain pretty hard on the way back and he picked up some people walking which I thought was very nice of him. It may seem a little pricey but when you see everything they have done and the work that has gone into this place, it's well worth it.
