Discover the Amish way of life at The Amish Farm and House, a 200-year-old estate providing insight into one of the country's most private communities. The working farm sits on 6 hectares (15 acres) that were part of a 1715 land grant made by William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. The farm's walking paths lead to a blacksmith's shop, milk house, school, and a covered bridge, giving you a chance to see how a real Amish farm functions on a daily basis. The historic farmhouse, built in 1805, displays furnishings of a modern Amish home. • We did the farmhouse tour. Our guide Shirley was impeccable. The farm has so much to offer and we spent a wonderful afternoon there. The kids were very happy and kept talking about the Amish and the farmhouse for days after the visit. Very educative and well organized.
  • This is a wonderful establishment that is dedicated to to sharing information pertaining to the practice's of The Amish. The tour includes a single room schoolhouse along with a home tour as well as other buildings that helps to contribute to their way of life. Followed by a home cooked meal with the Amish. Hannah's home and hospitality was both refreshing and made everyone feel like family. Not to mention awesome food!. I would definitely recommend the Amish Farm and Village to anyone looking for a great tour with great knowledge to boot!.
