Create an itinerary including Springs Preserve
Get to know the life that thrives in a desert at Springs Preserve, which extends across 73 hectares (180 acres) interlaced with walkways. Based on Las Vegas' original water source, the preserve includes botanical gardens, galleries, and event venues. Take a stroll along themed trails to learn about the various vegetation that grows in the desert, or marvel at the colorful creatures in the butterfly garden. While there, make sure you catch the super-realistic "flash flood" show. Learn local history from photographs in the museum, change up the scenery and explore the wetland habitat, and see if you can catch a show in the indoor theater (check the website for information). If you get hungry, stop by the onsite cafe. Take a look at our Las Vegas trip itinerary builder to schedule your visit to Springs Preserve and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Wow just beautiful, with multiple clean bathrooms, small butterfly habit for the kids and looks like funded improvements on going. Stop at the cafe for a delicious burger and drink..very pleasant...

  • There is so much to do and see at the Springs Preserve. We enjoy walking the trails, visit the museums or exhibits and eating at the cafe. The kids like the arts and crafts and the exchange.

  • Beautiful grounds and great place to enjoy nature. Plan on lots of walking, this is a great location to hike. The butterfly house was beautiful but not very many butterflies compared to other butterfly house I've visited. The train ride was a good way to hear of the history of the preserve. Bring lots of water we had a hard time finding a spot to purchase a bottle in here and you will need it.
  • Great place for the kids and adults to explore old Vegas and get a great history lesson. Great museum and hands-on things to explore. Boomtown train was nice, and I loved the Flash flood demonstration. It's definitely a place to see on your trip in Vegas as a tourist. Must see for locals. Cafe had a nice selection of treats, foods, and coffees. They have a butterfly farm that opens seasonally and will be on my list once it opens.
