Springs Preserve, Las Vegas

4.3
#8 of 38 in Parks in Las Vegas
Park · Hidden Gem · Specialty Museum
Get to know the life that thrives in a desert at Springs Preserve, which extends across 73 hectares (180 acres) interlaced with walkways. Based on Las Vegas' original water source, the preserve includes botanical gardens, galleries, and event venues. Take a stroll along themed trails to learn about the various vegetation that grows in the desert, or marvel at the colorful creatures in the butterfly garden. While there, make sure you catch the super-realistic "flash flood" show. Learn local history from photographs in the museum, change up the scenery and explore the wetland habitat, and see if you can catch a show in the indoor theater (check the website for information). If you get hungry, stop by the onsite cafe. Take a look at our Las Vegas trip itinerary builder to schedule your visit to Springs Preserve and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Great experience here. Definitely recommend in the cooler months. Lots to do outdoors, so keep that in mind when its 90* and up. Butterfly exhibit is fun with the family, playground, revolving exhibits. Kids love the flash flood display. Very educational for certain age groups. Definitely would recommend dining at the cafe. The cafe would make a great date night dinner date too with its tasty menu and incredible view/outdoor dining.
  • My family and I visited this past week and really enjoyed our visit (despite the 111 degree heat!). There were educational presentations that were engaging and informative (a flash flood encounter, train car, auction area, and much more). If it were cooler we would have walked around the large area - this time we opted to ride the train and the narrated tour was awesome!
