Experience the grisly world of organized crime at The Mob Museum. Artifacts and displays outline the history and shocking stories of mob crime in the United States, as well as the law enforcement initiatives designed to combat it. Begin your self-guided tour on the third floor by watching a short film about the history of organized crime. Learn about the mob's involvement in drugs, gambling, prostitution, and bootlegging. Interactive displays allow you to hold Tommy gun and listen to genuine FBI surveillance tapes. Be aware that some visitors may find a number of items disturbing, such as the bloodstained wall where the St. Valentine's Day Massacre took place and photos of corpses. The Mob Museum Reviews
It is a fun and educational activity for the entire family. Going back to the roaring 20's to present day mob bosses. Located on several floors with elevators. Plan at least two hours. more »
The museum is a nice break from the Casino landscape and has unique mob artifacts (guns, FBI documents and more). The staff is happy to explain background on exhibits and provide local context. more »
This was a surprising good find in Downtown Las Vegas! I think it was one of my favorite places in downtown. We arrived several hours early to the Fremont Experience, so we decided to go here since it was a short block or two away. Wow! It was very informative. The interactive design, small films and different information displays in different areas always gets your interest and everything is nice. Some things were repeated a lot over the floors, but overall it was very good. Also, the ammount of original artifacts recovered and in display was quite surprising. It's obvious that this was a big effort to out together. The staff is SUPER NICE. I absolutely loved them. We like to read everything and soak in the facts and details, so we were inside for about 2.5 hours. Even though we entered around 5 or 6, the rooms were quite full with people and everyone was super engaged. Worth every dollar!! Definitely a must see if you're in the area.
Great place to visit, and an incredible gift shop. Had a great time doing the shoot/don't shoot experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can easily spend a half-day here. Loved the old Post office building that it was in.
