Las Vegas is the world capital of neon art, and The Neon Museum is there to preserve and display some of it. The museum refurbishes old and discarded neon signs and tells the history of the city through them. Some of the restored signs are displayed in various locations in downtown Las Vegas, but most are located in the museum’s outdoor exhibition area, known as the Boneyard. Here you can take a tour of iconic signs, such as the signs for Caesar's Palace and Stardust casinos. All the tours are guided and should be booked in advance. Bad weather could cause tours to be canceled. Be careful of rusty metal and broken glass in the Boneyard area. Work out when and for how long to visit The Neon Museum and other Las Vegas attractions using our handy Las Vegas trip maker website.

The Neon Museum is a non-profit organization that collects and restores old neon signs. We booked tickets for the evening so that we could go on the guided tour, which was well worth the extra cost...

A great way to support the nonprofit organization that preserves and restores these classic neon signs. Many have been restored to there former glory and all seem to have a crazy Vegas story. Tour...

Excellent. Take your water!! It's cool for kids too but not too young. A lot of standing and listening which isn't ideal for them! The Brilliant part was great too and would be good for kids. - but again a lot of listening but the Brilliant has more video/tech to watch. At first I didn't think I'd like a museum with a bunch of old signs but it was actually great and one highlight of my Vegas trip. If you're okay with walking and the heat - highly recommend. A cool way to learn some history of Vegas.

Only in Vegas can you find such a unique and interesting place. This museum dedicated to the "light" history of Vegas is unique to say the least. The guides are super knowledgeable, and they do a great job of sharing the history of each of the signs and how they came to the museum. For those going there with a larger group, make sure to book ahead as this place is busy. Staff is accommodating in a pitch but not the norm. Must stop for a different sight on your Vegas trip.
