The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign represents a popular photo-op for tourists visiting Sin City. Designed by Betty Willis, the sign was erected at the south end of the world-renowned strip in 1959 to encourage tourists to visit. It seems the 7.6 m (25 ft) tall sign has been a success--today it attracts several hundred visitors a day eager to get their photo with the landmark. Best accessed by car, the sign stands at the side of the highway and features a small parking lot for visitors. You'll find an attendant on-site to corral the line of visitors who will take your picture for a small tip. A must-visit place in Vegas. Although it is right next to the airport but reaching here using public transit is time taking. However, the sign is opposite to a Deuce Bus stop. Therefore, it’s easy to reach from the Strip. Also, you might come across a long line of tourists waiting for their turn to take photos. But it’s fun to watch people pose and having fun in general. So you won’t get bored while waiting.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign! I’ve been here several times now and it’s always a nice experience. I love it. There is usually someone taking pictures for a small donation. I’ve even seen and Elvis Impersonator. This is just a great sight to see!
