Scotsman General Store, Laurel

Scotsman General Store and Woodshop is an absolute treasure! You can find some really great clothing, home goods, candy, sodas and ice cream. The woodshop is really cool to see, they have a big viewing area so you can watch the carpenter in action. The store is nicely laid out and super clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. If you are in the area you really need to stop here you will love it 💖

We made a stop on our way from Gulf Shores to see the town and the shops from the HGTV show. We were able to watch a show being filmed in Ben's workshop, sorry no pictures, none were aloud during filming. The store and workshop are connected. Nice stuff, coffee, soda, shirts, and wood items..cutting boards, wooden spoons. If you come and plan on buying expect to pay, the items are not cheap. That being said remember that everything is made in the USA, didn't see anything imported. You can get a map that has the streets with the houses they have done, but not the house numbers. We took a drive but were unable to find any. Hard to find any when all the HGTV houses cloud your mind 🤔😊 all in all it was worth the stop.
