Missouri Town 1855 is a 30acre outdoor history museum located in Fleming Park east of Lake Jacomo in Jackson County, Missouri.
Missouri Town 1855 consists of more than 25 structures, dating from before the Civil War (1820 to 1860). This antebellum open-air museum shows 19th-century lifestyle using interpreters dressed in period attire, the growing of various crops of the era, along with livestock (many rare).

  • What a pleasant surprise! This turned out to be a great morning activity for my family. They loved the animals and were very excited when they got to pet some of them. The staff was very knowledgeable and interacted with my kids at their level, asking questions and responding to their questions. The buildings and area are well maintained and I was amazed by how quiet things were, for the time we spent there it really might have been 1855.
  • Had a really good time. Went with my sister. It was really unique seeing all tiny school houses, law office. They had a sheep there that had just had a baby. So tiny and cute!!
